Quality Control Technician

Nitterhouse Concrete Products is a precast/prestressed concrete manufacturer located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Nitterhouse is a family-owned company in operation for 100 years! Nitterhouse values each employee and takes pride in the number of dedicated, long-term employees we have.

We are currently looking for a Quality Control Technician.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform routine testing of concrete—air content, slump or flow, concrete temperature, cylinder strength, unit weights
• Perform routine maintenance at our in-house Water Process Building (testing area)
• Pre- and/or post-pour inspection of products
• Hardware reinforcement placement
• Maintain accurate casting records
• Maintain clean work area and equipment
• Follow company safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to read shop drawings
• Ability to read and write in English
• Must have good math, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to lift up to and including 50 pounds
• Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed
• Must possess a good attitude and a willingness to learn
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word a plus
• Prior concrete testing experience or certification a plus
