Fabricator

ISCO Industries, Inc. is now hiring full time, Pipe Fabricators for our Louisville, KY plant. Overtime likely. We provide on the job training for these roles, but we prefer individuals have previous work or hobby backgrounds in carpentry, construction, or machine repair. We will consider entry-level candidates that have a desire to work with their hands to build custom projects.

Fabricators are responsible for fabricating and assembling polyethylene pipe to create a variety of customized structures such as: fittings, valves, T’s, Y’s, elbows, aqua shields, geothermal vaults, manholes, dual containment units, pumps, gas aeration lines and similar structures that meet customer specifications.

• Reads and interprets blueprints, product drawings and pic ticket orders to determine materials, tools and equipment needed to complete work
• Fabricates and assembles product per specifications
• Follows quality control procedures to ensure fabricated product meets customer specifications
• Maintains accurate records of materials used on “ticket”; locates and pulls required materials in inventory
• Maintains clean work area and equipment; follows safety procedures concerning use of equipment and materials to maintain safe working conditions
• Operates ISCO’s fusion and fast fusion equipment, cranes and forklifts
• Utilizes a variety of hand tools, saws and cutting equipment and performs other related duties as assigned
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on a regular basis and stand for long periods of time
