Essential Functions:
- Answer calls for electrician throughout the plant.
- Take a lead role in electrical trouble shooting and repair of breakdowns on production equipment within their department.
- Provide support to the preventative maintenance program of the equipment.
- Follows up and documents all complex/pertinent electrical work performed within their department.
- Perform listed project work designated by supervisor, Engineering Dept. and self.
- Perform daily responsibilities listed by supervisor.
- Repair any defective items removed from equipment, if feasible.
- Insures that all parts used are re-ordered.
- Obtains additional information for parts ordering or part replacement if necessary.
- Design, install, and follow up on new projects for the plant equipment.
- Provide necessary technical information to other departments for improved running and servicing of the equipment.
- Suggest ways to improve current equipment and devices, to reduce cost.
- Reviews daily work history with electricians/electronic technicians on next shift.
- Assist other maintenance personnel by supplying guidance and training in the more technical fields of the electrical department.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial manufacturing equipment
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
- Read/interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Must have ability to exercise independent judgement and creativity in problem solving
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as a member of a team
