Job Overview

Nutrition Services Cook, Full time, 80 hours biweekly, 9:30am-6:00pm

Prepares food items for patients, employees, visitors and others as assigned to enable the department to provide services as required, completes associated clean-up activities to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment. Nutrition Services is focused on Service Excellence. All employees must be willing and able to commit to Meritus Health’s Code of Conduct and align duties with the Values of Teamwork, Stewardship, Accountability, Integrity, Advocacy, and Innovation.


Education – High school graduate or equivalent required with coursework in quantity food preparation preferred.

Experience – Two years experience in institutional food service required with one year of cooking experience preferred. Restaurant line cooking experience a plus.

Licensure/Certification – N/A

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Serve Safe Certified Preferred.
