Assistant Principal/Work Based Learning Coordinator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for all activities associated with recruitment, enrollment and monitoring of students (visiting schools, news articles, catalogs, radio and TV, etc.).  Also responsible for recruiting instructors, their observation and evaluation, ordering instructional supplies, textbooks, and equipment.  The Assistant Principal assists instructors with evaluation, development and/or location of curriculum and instructional programs, and inservice training of instructors. Responsible for adult evening programs and promotion of online programs. Responsible for Work Based Learning by coordinating activities with participating county systems in creating linkages with business, industry, and labor groups while maintaining retention and placement records. Responsible for Counsel on Occupational Education Accreditation. Serves as the Title IX Coordinator.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:    This position requires a broad knowledge of career and technical education programs, the ability to supervise instructors, and knowledge of curriculum and instruction procedures.

 

Minimum qualifications are:  West Virginia Professional Administrative Certificate.  Preference given to those with 3 years or more of administrative and supervisory experience.

 

SALARY:   Salary will be based on education and experience.

EMPLOYMENT TERM:       240 days

STARTING DATE:     July 1, 2024
